My favorite food is Hummus
Fun fact guys. It really is. But not like the Sabra store-bought stuff - don't get me wrong it's good. But if you've ever been to a real Mediterranean restaurant where their hummus is just creamy and oily and smooth and you just want to rub it all over your body -- that's the stuff I'm talking about. I could live off of that. I could bathe in that. So I decided to make my own because it's really not hard at all.
Disclaimer. I was on vacation with my family recently, and my stepsister is a Chef, and I was inspired by her. I kind of picked the wrong things though... So she bought a few different varieties of the dried peppers in the spices section of the store, and I was like "omg I've always wanted to use these but I have no idea how to" and obviously, you can put them in hummus - so I did. I didn't really do any research on the heat level of said dried peppers... So I made this batch a wee little spicy.

2 cans of garbanzo beans (32 oz total)
EVOO*
1/2 c of Tahini
1/2 a lemon squeezed
5 chopped dried chilis
all the garlic
salt to taste
Throw it all in a blender or processor and blend till smooth.
* I just dumped it in til it felt right.
This recipe made almost 2 full mason jars.
So there you have it. Easy Peasy lemon squeezy -- get it. Because you have to squeeze a lemon for this recipe, guys.
Anyway, I'm not sure what else I have up my sleeve this week, but stay tuned. I'm very bored a lot during the day, so this is how I'm spending my time.
